The capitol building and the main building

The University of Notre Dame’s Office of Federal and Washington Relations represents Notre Dame in Washington, DC.

This office acts to enhance the national and international visibility of The University’s vision and mission, and to strengthen the University’s relationships with key constituencies in our nation’s capital. These constituencies include: Congress, the Administration, Federal departments and agencies, policy makers at all levels, higher education associations and coalitions, representatives of other colleges and universities, and the media.

The Office serves as the principal liaison between the University community  - comprised of faculty, administrators, student program participants, alumni, parents and friends - and the Federal government and Washington community. This site provides an overview for members of both the campus and Washington communities to understand and become involved in the intersection between the University of Notre Dame and the Federal government.
